La Promesa is a 25-look bridal collection inspired by Isabel’s grandmother. Her grace, faith, and love, brought to life this collection through the lace, pearls, and trims she left behind. Rooted in the emotional richness and grandeur of Mexican wedding traditions, the collection reflects Isabel’s experience growing up between Mexico and the U.S., navigating identity and belonging. Through sculptural 1950s-inspired silhouettes and thoughtful fabric manipulation, each piece becomes a promise to honor her heritage and carry her grandmother’s spirit forward.
Kanso (簡素)
beauty in its intentionality.
Isabel returns to the idea that beauty is never truly effortless, even when it is designed to appear that way. Clothing becomes a tool for shaping how beauty is felt and perceived, holding both what is revealed and concealed, and framing the body’s details and imperfections.
Accessories, often seen as final touches, are instead considered highly constructed and intentional objects.
Each piece carries time through gathering, compression, and repetition, embedding quiet traces of labor long before it is worn.

What began as a study of Madame Grès evolved into a deeply personal exploration for Isabel Serrano. Living in Paris as a Mexican designer, she became more aware of how culture shapes creative expression, contrasting Grès’ sculptural precision and French elegance with the rich texture, storytelling, and soul of the textiles she grew up around. This project becomes a meeting point between those worlds, reflecting not only technique but identity, marking the beginning of an ongoing journey.

Inspired by Jane Birkin, this project explores a more effortless approach to dressing, where simplicity still feels strong and intentional. Isabel was drawn to the way Birkin made even the most casual pieces feel personal and iconic without trying too hard. The work reflects an interest in creating designs that feel easy, expressive, and subtly refined.
